Deliver each finding as an issue in a Linear team, with its evidence. About five minutes.
Before you start
You need to be a member of the Linear workspace, unless your echoUX account is already connected to it.
Open the screen
On Destinations, select Add a destination under the topic.
Select the Linear tile.
Allow access
A connect dialog opens over the page. Select Connect in it. Linear's permission page opens in its own window. If the workspace is already connected to echoUX, the team choice opens instead.
Check that the right workspace is shown at the top of Linear's page. To change the workspace, select the name shown there. Then select Authorize.
Choose the team
Under Pick the Linear team where discovery artefacts should land, select the team. Every finding delivered to this topic becomes an issue in that team.
Once a team is selected, a second list appears, Pick a project inside followed by the team's name. Leave No project selected, or select a project. With a project, each issue is created inside that project; without one, each issue is created in the team itself.
Under Label prefix for Linear issues, leave
echoux:as it is, or type your own prefix. Every delivered issue carries a label that starts with the prefix, for exampleechoux:problem, so you can filter these issues from the team's other work.Select Save destination. Four labels, one for each type of finding, are created in the team when you save, unless they exist already.
Check it arrives
Under Destination saved, select Test delivery. Delivered appears beside the button when Linear accepted the test issue. The test issue is a sample finding titled "Sample artefact, safe to delete". It is created with a cancelled status when the team has one, so it is not among the open issues: find it among the team's cancelled issues. A team without a cancelled status receives it in the backlog.
Select Done (when you sign in for the first time, Continue, then Finish under the tiles).
Connecting Linear is complete when
- the sample issue is in the Linear team, inside the project if you chose one;
- on Destinations, the topic lists Linear with the team name.
What happens next
For a new topic, deliveries begin when its first cycle produces a finding, usually between several weeks and two months after collection starts. A destination added to a topic that already has findings receives the latest cycle's findings at once. Each finding arrives as one issue in the team's backlog, with its evidence and a table that shows why the finding scored as it did. The issue carries a label for its type, for example echoux:problem. There is nothing to do while you wait.
