Connect Zendesk as a source

Collect what customers write in your Zendesk tickets. About five minutes.

Before you start

You need a Zendesk account that can authorise apps for the workspace. If your account cannot, ask a Zendesk admin to do this step.

Open the screen

  1. On Sources, select Add a source under the topic.

  2. Select the Zendesk tile.

Allow access

  1. Under Zendesk Subdomain, type your workspace's subdomain: the part before .zendesk.com in its web address.

  2. Select Connect. Zendesk's authorisation page opens in its own window.

  3. If Zendesk shows its sign-in page, sign in. Then select Allow.

Choose the groups

  1. Select each group to collect tickets from.

NoteEvery public comment the customer wrote on the ticket is collected; agent replies and internal notes are not.
  1. Select Continue.

Connecting Zendesk is complete when

  • the Zendesk tile shows Connected with the group names;
  • on Sources, the topic lists Zendesk with the group names.

What happens next

A ticket is collected after its status becomes Closed. Zendesk sets that status a fixed number of days after the ticket is Solved: four days by default, at most twenty-eight. There is nothing to do while you wait. Tickets closed before you connected are not collected. To include them, import them from a file.
